When you run a route optimisation, Route Optimiser will present you with on-screen results and also gives
you the opportunity to download printable PDF documents.
There are 3 different types of document in the download.
Overall summary
The first document to look at is the summary of all deliveries and vehicles. This shows you your job title,
your account reference, the date you submitted the job, the date the job was completed, the number of
vehicles chosen for the job, and the number of delivery waypoints entered.
The table underneath these details then gives a breakdown of the deliveries by vehicle, showing how many
deliveries each should make, how long (approximately) it will take, and how far each vehicle will travel.
Vehicle summary sheets
Following on from the table in the overall summary document, the individual vehicle summary documents show
each delivery that will be made by a given vehicle. The deliveries are ordered in an optimised route and
show the delivery location (typically a postcode), any delivery notes that have been entered, the estimated
delivery time and the distance in miles travelled to reach that location.
This document is designed with drivers in mind and can be printed out and given to each driver to help
with the deliveries.
Vehicle directions
Finally, when driving directions have been requested, turn-by-turn directions for every delivery
of each vehicle will be produced. Instructions for deliveries are given with easy to read icons and
an estimation of driving distance for each step. The total distance and the estimated time of the
journey is also given.
All of this, of course, is useful for those times when drivers don't have satellite navigation and
aren't familiar with the area they are travelling to. Just hand out the sheets that are needed
and you're away.

You'll need Adobe Reader to open the PDF documents - if you don't have it you can get it here.
